Hello! Thanks for visiting our website. We’re performing in The Dunedin Gasworks Museum. This is not usually a theatre, but it’s interesting and cheaper, so we’re trying it out. Because it’s not a theatre it gets cold at night. We have free hot drinks and some blankets, but please dress warmly.

We start at 6pm. We’re making the show up as we go, so we aren’t sure how long it will be. On a Sunday night the last buses from the area are about 9pm. You can set an alarm to tell you it’s time to go, we don’t mind if it rings during the show and you need to leave. We’re still figuring out how to make the show a good length for everyone 🙂

You can get up and move around during the show, the overheard lights stay on, and it’s pretty chilled out. You can move a chair to wherever you feel like sitting, if you want to be where it’s quieter, sweet as.

Where is it?
The venue is in South Dunedin, in middle of a block of a big block of buildings. The South Dunedin Pak’n’Save and Warehouse is on one side, and the K Mart on the other. It’s next to the Woolworths, but you can’t get through from there, so find Braemar Road, which is behind the Wololworths block.

This is the road to go down, it’s right opposite the Warehouse carpark exit. The other end of Braemar road is opposite the Kmart carpark.

This is the outside of the Gasworks

Go into the gate and through the big metal structure, we’re in the ‘Engine room’ building.

There’s lots of parking on Braemar road.

If you can it’s better to park there and walk in, so we have less traffic on site. If you need to be closer, you can drive in and park on the site, please watch out for people in the dark 🙂

The site has no stairs, and there is an accessible toilet, but the floors are a bit uneven and it’s pretty basic. We think it’s accessible for a smallish wheelchair that can fit through a standard doorframe. If you want you can bring your own chair of any kind if you can fit it through a doorframe. Our seats are just basic small hard plastic movable chairs, so you could bring your own seat coushin if you want (I do! I recommend it)
