Copyright, Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence Use Policy for Downtime Activities

All content associated with Downtime Activities, including but not limited to audio recordings, video recordings, live-streams, performances, improvisations, dialogue, scripts, characters, stories, settings, music, sound design, artwork, logos, trademarks, written material, and all other creative content is protected by the Copyright Act 1994 (New Zealand), applicable international copyright treaties, and other intellectual property laws.

The voices, performances, artistic contributions, creative expression, and, where applicable, the likenesses of participating performers are protected intellectual property and personal rights. No permission is granted to reproduce, imitate, simulate, synthesise, clone, manipulate, or otherwise create digital replicas or AI-generated derivatives of any performer or their performance without the prior written consent of both the relevant performer and Curiouser & Curiouser Ltd.

No licence or permission is granted, whether express or implied, for any person or organisation to copy, reproduce, redistribute, archive, scrape, crawl, text- or data-mine, harvest, download for dataset creation, extract, analyse, index beyond ordinary search engine indexing, or otherwise use any part of this content for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, evaluating, benchmarking, developing, or improving any artificial intelligence system, machine learning model, large language model, generative AI system, voice synthesis system, speech recognition model, or other automated technology.

This prohibition includes, without limitation:

AI and machine learning training;
text and data mining;
web scraping and automated extraction;
dataset creation or augmentation;
voice cloning and synthetic voice generation;
digital replicas of performers;
AI-generated derivative works;
model evaluation or benchmarking using this content;
embedding or incorporation into AI datasets or vector databases; and
any substantially similar automated or computational use not expressly authorised in writing.

Access to, streaming of, downloading of, or public availability of this content does not constitute permission, consent, licence, or waiver of rights for any automated collection, scraping, indexing (other than standard search engine indexing where permitted), text or data mining, AI training, machine learning, or creation of derivative works.

Except where expressly permitted by applicable law, no part of this content may be reproduced, distributed, communicated to the public, adapted, translated, commercially exploited, or otherwise used without the prior written permission of Curiouser & Curiouser Ltd.

All intellectual property rights not expressly granted are reserved. Curiouser & Curiouser Ltd expressly reserves all rights to pursue available legal remedies in respect of unauthorised use, reproduction, distribution, scraping, AI training, voice cloning, digital replication, or other infringement of its intellectual property or the protected performances of its contributors.
